Merlin and Galice: Close and Away From it All
As the Gateway to the Wild and Scenic Rogue
Merlin and Galice are less than an hour from
Medford International Airport, yet feel a world away. The small town of Merlin
and the hamlet of Galice have a variety of amenities for the Rogue river
explorer. Here you can find nice lodging, great food, river running equipment
for rent or purchase, and guided Rogue river rafting and fishing
trips.

Merlin Area Dining: Try the Backroad
Grill--they come highly recommended. Sorry, no website, but call

Merlin Area
Lodging: The Pine Meadow Inn is
one of Oregon's finest bed and breakfasts. Friendly hosts, great setting,
unbelievable breakfast!
Galice Area
Dining: Down home cooking and a nice riverside deck to boot are found at
the Galice Resort! Resort may overstate it a bit as it is more homey than
glitzy.
Galice Area Lodging: Two
places: The Galice Resort and
Rogue Forest Bed and Breakfast.
Galice has rustic cabins and a more upscale lodge. Rogue Forest has a nice
quiet two bedroom B and B.
River

River Equipment Sales: SOTAR/Whitewater
Manufacturing is located just off of I-5 in Merlin. They are your best bet in
the area but they are only open 9-5 Monday-Friday!
